Founder and CEO
Omeed Malik is the Founder and CEO of Farvahar Partners.
Prior to starting his own firm, Omeed was a Managing Director and the Global Head of the Hedge Fund Advisory Business at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Omeed was also the founder and head of the Emerging Manager Program within the Global Equities business. In this capacity, Omeed was charged with selecting both established and new hedge funds for the firm to partner with and oversaw the allocation of financing/prime brokerage, capital strategy, business consulting and talent introduction resources.
Before joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Omeed was a Senior Vice President at MF Global where he helped reorganize the firm's distribution platform globally and developed execution and clearing relationships with institutional clients. An experienced financial services professional and securities attorney, Omeed was a corporate lawyer at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP working on transactional matters in the capital markets, corporate governance, private equity and bankruptcy fields.
Omeed has also worked in the United States Senate and House of Representatives. Omeed received a JD, with Honors, from Emory Law School and a BA in Philosophy and Political Science, Cum Laude, from Colgate University. He holds Series 7, 63, 3, 79 and 24 registrations.
Omeed is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Joe Voboril spent 15 years at hedge funds in roles of analyst, portfolio manager, and CIO. The longest duration tenure was at Kingsford Capital, where he constructed and risk managed a short-only equities portfolio. Among the five different funds he worked at, three were established, two were new launches (one his own), and the strategies spanned from multi-strategy, equity long/short, and short-only equities.
At Bank of America Joe co-created the Hedge Fund Advisory group, led the banks Separately Managed Account (SMA) Initiative, and managed the internal vetting effort of investment managers for Bank of America’s exclusive Emerging Manager Program.
Joe is a graduate of Colgate University with a double-major in Philosophy (honors) and Political Science. He was also an extremely mediocre member of the Track and Field team, with no awards of distinction in 400/800 meter races. He holds Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses.
Prior to joining Farvahar Partners, Kate was a long/short equity hedge fund analyst for ten years: first as an analyst at Blue Ridge Capital and then as a senior analyst at BlueMountain Capital Management. Prior, she was an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group.
Kate graduated from Harvard University with a BA in Economics and from Columbia Business School with an MBA.
Charles Myers, Founder and Chairman of Signum Global has over 20 years of US political and electoral experience advising candidates in Presidential, Senate, House of Representatives, Gubernatorial and Mayoral races, including Hillary Clinton for President 2016. He also has 25 years of experience in global financial markets.
As Chairman, Charles works with financial institutions and multi-national businesses to anticipate and assess policy agendas and announcements. Areas of expertise include US foreign policy and the implications of the Trump presidency in the US, Europe and Asia. Charles also forecasts global trade policy, energy dynamics and regulation within the financial, energy and technology sectors in the US, UK and Europe.
Formerly Vice Chairman of Evercore ISI, he was the Founding Partner & Head of the Institutional Equities business. Prior to that, Charles served as Global Head of Equities and Board Member at Fox-Pitt, Kelton.
Charles serves on the Board of Trustees of the Central Park Conservancy, the Board of the Mayor's Fund for NYC, and previously served on the NYC Host Committee for the 2016 Democratic Convention. Charles has a BA from Amherst College in Massachusetts and a post-graduate M. Phil degree from Cambridge University in England. He lives in New York City with his four children.
